Delray Beach is a genuine part of our route, about 47.1 kilometers north of our Davie base and inside Palm Beach County rather than Broward. That county line changes which building department and which water utility we are dealing with, and our crew already works inside both regularly.
The downtown core traces back to a 1911 incorporation, and Old School Square Historic Arts District alone holds over a hundred structures at least fifty years old, so original cast iron and galvanized pipe is a real possibility there. Canal-front sections such as Tropic Isle came along decades later, dredged in the 1950s, on a completely different pipe standard.
We ask which part of Delray Beach a call is coming from before we guess at the material, because a downtown address and a canal address rarely share the same answer.
